SyncMasters composers, Dig Lewis, Paul Bolotin and Rick King are pleased to announce their upcoming slate of film scoring projects scheduled for release or completion in 2007.

For Immediate Release

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif./EWORLDWIRE/Dec. 18, 2006 --- SyncMasters composers, Dig Lewis, Paul Bolotin and Rick King are pleased to announce their upcoming slate of film scoring projects scheduled for release or completion in 2007.

First up is the drama, THE KOLABORATOR, which is set in Bosnia in 1992. The story is a day in the life of a soldier named Goran, as he and his unit are forced to commit 'Ethnic Cleansing' war crimes by order of the Serbian regime. The short was filmed in 35MM, in Serbian with English subtitles. Filmmaker Chris Bessounian comments, "When writing THE KOLABORATOR it became clear that this story needed a score that would not only support, but help to release the emotional intensity of the piece. From the films' inception, music was to be an integral element in creating the mood of the characters and Bosnia itself during one of humanities darkest moments. I spoke with many composers during pre-production, only to find that most, although excited about the project, did not fully understand the role I wanted the score to play in the film. I went to see SyncMasters and after meeting them I was amazed with their professionalism and dedication to the story and I knew they could create a score that would enhance the experience of the film beyond what I had ever imagined."

The second film, ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE CONGO, is the about an American student who goes to South Africa to interview a survivor of the Rwandan genocide in 1994. While there, a Congolese man sees the interview subject, and recognizes the alleged genocide victim as being the organizer of two mass killings in 1998, in the Eastern Congo. Producer Said Kakese Dibinga states, "I was introduced to SyncMasters in 2005, when I was presented a demo at an event at The Directors Guild. I gave them a copy of the script and they called a few days later and said they were excited about the production. After several conversations, they came to understand the music feel of the story and I brought them on board to compose the original music for my film."

SyncMasters is well known in television circles for scoring episodes of THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW and for National Geographic programming. National commercials include Pepsi-Cola and Levi’s. The company has also composed the songs "I Got Somethin' For You" for ALF:THE MOVIE, and "After the Rain Falls" for EMPEROR OF THE BRONX. Their score for DIVA DOG:PITBULL ON WHEELS, was heard at the Woods Hole Film Festival in Cape Cod, as the short produced and directed by Chris Cory was an 'Official Selection.' The true story of Coral, a paralyzed pit bull with a heart of gold, featured Debra Wilson, Linda Blair and Kellie McCarty, among others.

Recently the team started working with Rationcination, LLC, a firm that is engaged in designing a platform of SyncMasters existing digital library for incorporation into the new media distribution stream, that includes mobile downloads, targeted for professionals in the television and film industries, according to CEO Kit Lau. Additionally, Lau, newly appointed Executive Vice President of Entertainment Business for SyncMasters represented the company at the ImaginAsian3 conference, organized and supervised by the U.S. Commercial Service's Stewart Ballard and Maura Kim, and introduced the SyncMasters team to major Hong Kong film/TV/video companies including Asia Legend Limited/Leo Lo President/CEO, Agogo Entertainment Limited/Steven Ching President, Culturecom/Chen Man Lung Vice President, DCDC/Wendy Choi CEO and Jidou Limited/Alexander Wong CEO. The subsequent meetings were very informative and productive for all in attendance, providing SyncMasters with a number of exciting opportunities to develop music scores for Chinese film-makers in Hong Kong.

SyncMasters recently conducted a special training workshop on film scoring for Cerritos College students who were visibly enthralled by the experience. Cerritos film instructor Steven Hirohama, who requested the workshop later commented, "What SyncMasters gave to these young minds is immeasurable." Plans are also underway to provide interstitial music for The Documentary Channel, the nation’s first 24/7 all-documentary network, according to CEO/founder Tom Neff.

The three composers, Paul Bolotin, Dig Lewis and Rick King, individually or collectively have worked on films that include Alex Wurman’s score for ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND OF RON BURGUNDY, starring Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd and Steve Carrell, and "WHERE’S ANGELO?" starring Robert Forster, Michael Madsen and Beverly D'Angelo. Director Scott Dorel noted, "Lewis and King did a great job, it was awesome. They had a real feel for the films' dramatic moments and its humorous undertones. They really made it come to life."

What distinguishes the SyncMasters team of Dig Lewis, Paul Bolotin and Rick King from other composers is their collaboration in creating all of the original music they produce. They have the advantage of combining all three of their gifted creative musical talents, which are derived from multiple ethnic, cultural and educational backgrounds.
